I went to see this film with low expectations. I'm not a fan of Jonnhy Depp and Tim Burton but I think a genius is not always offered interesting things. Instead, I and 'loved it. I was expecting a movie full of weirdness and crazy images, surface readings and interpretations between the lines, with twists and monsters and fantastic creatures. I mean I expected it to Tim Burton seized the opportunity an imaginative book as "Alice in Wonderland" (and its follow-up "Inside the Mirror") to let go of his wild imagination. But no!
